Stableford points with an explicit house prize
Rule 21.1 governs the underlying points form against a Committee-set target score; it does not create a money prize. The $30 pooled prize is therefore an explicit private house arrangement: each player pays $5, then the highest points total receives the pot in this fixture. If the highest total is tied, the pre-agreed house term is an equal pot share among tied winners; any indivisible-cent treatment must also be written before play.
Table
| Player | Stableford points | Entry fee | Pooled prize | Net settlement |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alex | 36 | $5 | $30 | +$25 |
| Ben | 32 | $5 | $0 | -$5 |
| Chris | 29 | $5 | $0 | -$5 |
| Dana | 27 | $5 | $0 | -$5 |
| Player5 | 25 | $5 | $0 | -$5 |
| Player6 | 23 | $5 | $0 | -$5 |
Worked example
Alex's 36 points beat the next total of 32, so the fixture awards the full $30 pot.

Common questions
Does official Stableford include a money payout?
No. Stableford's points are the underlying competition result; this is a stated private house pot of $5 from each of 6 entries ($30 total), separate from any official scoring.
What happens on a tie?
This draft splits the $30 pot (6 entries at $5 each) equally among tied highest-point players by prior agreement; with no tie, Alex's 36 points take the whole $30.
Are handicap adjustments included?
No. The $5-a-head, 6-player pot uses the fixture's supplied point totals as given; any handicap allowance needs separate, verified competition terms before the points (and so the payout) change.
