Fixed digit scoring and loss cap
Each team's two gross hole scores form a two-digit number with the lower score first and higher score second; the lower two-digit number wins that hole's point difference. This fixture uses no birdie flip, press or multiplier. It caps a raw difference at 20 points per hole. A player score of 10 or more is rejected instead of being silently concatenated; play cannot settle until the group writes a replacement or cap rule. Vegas is treated here as a casual house settlement, with no claimed universal WHS allowance.
Table
| Side | Members | Settled points | Dollars per point | Net settlement |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Team A (Alex & Ben) | Alex, Ben | 24 | $2 | +$48 |
| Team B (Chris & Dana) | Chris, Dana | -24 | $2 | -$48 |
Worked example
On Hole 5, Team A's 34 beats Team B's 56 by 22 raw points, but the stated cap settles only 20 points ($40).

Common questions
Which digit goes first?
This fixture places the lower individual hole score first and the higher score second, e.g. a 4-5 hole (not 5-4), before converting the 24-net-point swing to $2 a point.
What happens at a score of 10 or more?
The input is rejected; no ambiguous digit score is silently made. At $2 a point this fixture's hole-loss cap alone is worth $40, so an unchecked double-digit score would distort the settlement badly.
Do birdie flips or presses apply?
No. Both are excluded here: this $2-a-point card settles a plain 24-net-point round worth $48 with no birdie flip or press added, unless the group separately agrees and writes down its own house rule and cap.
