Local rotation and point convention
This is one explicit local convention, not a universal Wolf rule: Alex, Ben, Chris and Dana rotate as Wolf in that order, the Wolf chooses after tee shots, and a partnered winning pair earns +1 each while the two opponents receive -1 each. A solo win is +3 for the Wolf and -1 for each opponent; a solo loss reverses it; a halved hole is zero. No blind-Wolf multiplier, press or doubling is used. The group must cap exposure before play: the fixed rotation's largest 18-hole player-loss ceiling is $280.
Table
| Player | Points | Dollars per point | Net settlement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alex | 9 | $10 | +$90 |
| Ben | 7 | $10 | +$70 |
| Chris | -9 | $10 | -$90 |
| Dana | -7 | $10 | -$70 |
Worked example
On Hole 2, Ben plays solo and wins: Ben receives +3 points ($30), while Alex, Chris and Dana receive -1 point each (-$10 each).

Common questions
Is this the only Wolf scoring system?
No. Wolf points and solo treatment vary by group; this record states one local system that transfers 16 points over the round at $10 each, with the biggest single-hole swing worth $30 to the Wolf.
What is the stake cap?
Use the stated hard ceiling of $280 per player at $10 a point, or a lower agreed cap before play -- at this stake the $30 largest one-hole swing alone is a meaningful share of that ceiling.
Does Wolf carry a WHS allowance?
No allowance is claimed here; this $10-a-point, 16-point ledger is a casual points settlement, not a stated WHS format.
